Hello! My name is Ken Prouty. I am the owner of
"Next Best Friend" Petsitting LLC (NBF). Kendra
and Greg are NBF Pet Sitters. We are all animal
lovers and always treat animals with dignity and
respect. We can be your pet's best friend while
you are away. Your pets can stay in their own
home or they can stay at our place, depending on
their needs.
Please take a moment to become familiar with your
pet's "Next Best Friend". Some pets prefer to
stay in their comfort zone (your home) during your
absence, while others might get lonely and would
prefer to stay at our facility while you are gone.
We can do whichever you prefer.

my Siamese sister, and I would rather stay at home while my
parents are gone. Sure, we will miss them, but at least we will still
have our toys and familiar surroundings.
My parents realize that we won't get all stressed out due to loud
and unfamiliar noises if we are allowed to stay at home. We have
this really nice person that comes by three times a day. We really
look forward to our sitter's visits. Our sitter takes me outside to
potty and cleans Sugar Pants' litter box. There is always an extra
water dish set out, in case the other one goes dry or gets spilled.
Our friend gives Sugar Pants her medicine and feeds us exactly like
we get fed when my parents are here. Well, maybe our sitter gives
us a few more treats than my parents do because our sitter is our
Next Best Friend and wants to keep us happy.
Our sitter not only takes care of us, but does things that our
parents normally do, like bring in the mail and water our plants. Our
home will look occupied while our parents are away because our
friend turns lights off and on, adjusts the curtains, takes out the
trash and plays the radio or TV. Our sitter does all of these things
if my parents want them done.
We love it when our sitter gets their chores done and gets down on
the floor and plays with us. We can tell that our friend looks
forward to play time too, because our sitter is in no hurry to get up
and act like a human again. Our Next Best Friend loves us!
There are other reasons that we like to have our sitter take care of
us at home. We don't need to get shots that we normally don't
need, and we won't pick up fleas from strange places. Our parents
won't have to drop us off or pick us up. When they get home, we
will greet them at the door and be very happy!
A Message from Ken:
I hope that Rudy made his point. He made it clear that Sugar Pants
and he would rather have a pet sitter, but there are situations
where a cage-less dog and cat boarding facility would be better.
Please feel free to call me and we can discuss what is right for your
pet(s). There are a couple cage-less facilities available in the Saint
Louis area and I would be happy to recommend them if appropriate.
